Festival Performance Training

Our Performance Training classes for Juniors and Seniors assist in the preparation for stepping out on stage. The energy is high, the movements are slick and expressive, and it is a wonderful opportunity to elevate all the steps learnt in classes to a performance level ahead of festivals, competitions, shows, and examinations. Our teacher has a wealth of experience on stage, as well as training hundreds of performers before they make their stage debut or opening night. The classes are open to all, so please contact us if you are interested in taking your performance to the next level.

The classes will be held every Tuesday - 5.30-6.00pm for Juniors and 6.00- 6.30pm for Seniors. We hope to offer all children performance opportunities throughout the year. We will continually assess the children's performance development and commitment, and will contact you when it is felt that your child is ready to progress to competing in dance festivals.

Dance Competitions known as 'festivals' are a wonderful opportunity to compete against other young performers, whilst also enjoying a chance to perform on stage with costumes, hair styling, and stage make-up. Festivals are adjudicated by age group across many genres, and have sections for solo performers, duets, trios, quartets, and group dances. SBSD would love to hear from any young performers who are interested in taking part in festivals. We offer private lessons to work on appropriate choreography and themes for individual dancers, and will be with the young performer every 'step' of the way from the rehearsal studio through to the competition day. Please get in touch with any queries or discuss this opportunity.
