Lyrical

Lyrical dance is a fusion of Ballet and Modern; pretty and flowing, full of passion, creating aesthetically pleasing lines with the body. Lyrical dances should convey the emotion of a song's music and lyrics, with intense emotional expression of the face and body creating a very gripping, strong, and delicate movement

of dance.

Lyrical is a non-syllabus class and is often used in Festivals as a Solo Dance or Group Dance.

Pupils participating in Lyrical would normally have a good technique in Ballet and Modern to be able to execute the elongated movements with precision.
